'Kathleen Trick: The six year old springbok' mini exhibition has launched at the World Rugby Museum at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.
In January 1907, the Lord Mayor of London hosted a children's costume ball at Mansion House. Hundreds of children attended dressed as historical figures and fictional characters - but one little girl, inspired by the South Africa team touring Britain at that time, decided to dress as a rugby player. It was the start of a special relationship with South Africa's touring rugby teams.
For the first time in nearly fifty years, this exhibition reunites the child-size rugby kit with the portrait of the six-year-old who wore it - Kathleen Trick, 'The Springbok Elect'.
Entry to 'Kathleen Trick: The Six Year Old Springbok' is included with World Rugby Museum and Allianz Stadium Tour tickets.
