School Travel Awards Finalist!

The team at the World Rugby Museum would like to thank all our valued school visitors over the past 12 months and especially those who have nominated us in the School Travel Awards - Best Sporting Venue category. The annual School Travel Awards recognise inspiring people and the best companies, venues and attractions providing school trips.

Education Officer Dr Lydia Furse says "It is a privilege to be nominated alongside some incredible sporting venues from around the UK. Delivering workshops to schools and making sure pupils have an incredible day out is the most rewarding part of my job, so to get this kind of recognition is fantastic - thank you to everyone who nominated the World Rugby Museum."

This nomination is another form of feedback from valued school visitors who have enjoyed the national curriculum-linked workshops, guided stadium tours, and the interactive World Rugby Museum.

On their recent visit, Embley Park Secondary School stated "The tour was great and really engaged the pupils. It's engaging and has a wow factor for pupils who have never been. Very inspiring. The day has been brilliant and exactly what the students needed. Thank you to the whole team for a great morning."

The School Travel Awards winners will be announced on 6 June 2023.
