Player Profile: Jason Leonard OBE

Jason Leonard OBE is widely regarded as one of the greatest props in the history of rugby union, and is one of England's most capped players ever.

During a 14-year international rugby career, Jason won 114 caps for England, was a part of four Six Nations Grand Slam winning squads, and of course was a key part of England's 2003 Rugby World Cup winning squad.

Jason represented the British & Irish Lions on three separate tours, and was a part of the 1997 test-winning squad in South Africa.

Throughout Jason's career he represented Barking RFC, Saracens and Harlequins. Making a massive 290 appearances for Harlequins alone, spanning across both the amateur and professional game.

In 2002, Jason earned an MBE for services to British sport, which later became an OBE after England's Rugby World Cup win in 2003. Jason retired from the sport in 2004, and was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2014.
