The Jimmy Peters Story
Launching 6 October 2022, 'The Jimmy Peters Story' will explore the remarkable story of Jimmy Peters, the first black rugby union player to be capped for England, from his childhood in the circus to his England call-up in 1906.
Star objects include Jimmy's England cap, recently donated by his family. It will be displayed alongside the caps he was awarded by Somerset, Plymouth and Devon. An array of photographs and documents will also cast light on his remarkable life and outstanding achievements.
