Journey to Japan: Japanese Inspired Arts and Crafts (5-13 years old)

Go on an adventure to Japan at the World Rugby Museum this summer!

With the Rugby World Cup just around the corner, what better way to prepare than joining in our arts and crafts workshop, with fun activities inspired by the host country.

What does my ticket entitle me to?

  • Children can participate in the mixed arts and crafts session, making a Japanese fan, decorating a paper lantern, creating a collage cherry blossom tree and trying their hand at origami. Adults can get stuck in and assist!
  • Entry to the World Rugby Museum where you can absorb the history and take on our interactive challenges. 

This event is suitable for children aged 5-13 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult and all adults must be accompanied by a child! Maximum of 3 children per adult.

Design Your Own Cap Workshop (5-13 years old)

Calling all future rugby captains!

You don’t need to play for your country to earn your cap- you can now design your own! The tradition started almost 200 years ago and now it’s your turn to design your very own cap for the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Get creative, take it home and wear it during the world’s biggest rugby tournament.

What does my ticket entitle me to?

  • Children will design and use special fabric pens to design their own cap.
  • A white, child-sized (5-13 years old) sports cap.
  • Entry to the World Rugby Museum where you can absorb the history and take on our interactive challenges. 

This event is suitable for children aged 5-13 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult and all adults must be accompanied by a child! Maximum of 3 children per adult.

Space Explorers: Extra-Terrestrial Arts and Crafts (under 11s)

To celebrate the arrival of our extra-terrestrial England jersey, donated by astronaut Tim Peake, budding mini-astronauts will travel into space at the World Rugby Museum this summer!

Whether it's making rocket magnets, decorating your own moon rock, painting planets, or creating your own alien mask, there will be fun for all the family. There’ll also be a scientific surprise along the way and you’ll have to help our resident aliens Webb and Ellis on their mission around the museum.

What does my ticket entitle me to?

  • Children can participate in the mixed arts and crafts session, making alien masks, designing rocket magnets, decorating moon rocks, painting balloon planets and making slime! Adults can get stuck in and assist.
  • Entry to the World Rugby Museum where you can absorb the history and take on our interactive challenges. 
  • A Space Explorers’ trail of the museum.
